''I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father, except through me!'' These are Jesus famous words that we should all live by. Are they not beautiful? Isn't this wonderful news?! That through Jesus Christ we can become close to the Father.
There are too many people nowadays that believe that as long as you seek for a ''god'' or are a ''good person'' then we will all get to heaven. But that is not what Jesus teaches. There are some that will claim that Jesus only teaches us to be good people and to live our lives how we want as long as we aren't ''hurting anyone''. That basically as long as we don't kill someone than we are fine. But that is not what the Bible or Church history teaches us.
The message has always been that we need to follow God. Not our emotions. Our hearts are corrupted and worldly. We can be selfish, evil people and we need God to purify our hearts. Jesus speaks with true love and good intentions for us when He says that He is only way. To some this sounds evil as they want to live as they want and not as He wants. They don't want to follow His True Church and its ways of doing things.
Jesus established the Catholic Church to have all His followers under one Shepherd. There are no ''many ways to heaven'' or ''all religions are the same''. They aren't the same. They are false and Christianity is the only true religion with Catholicism as His True Church. Now some will be offended by this statement, but I say this in love. Others would have you running around believing in falsehoods, but I come to bring you the Good News.
The Good News of Jesus Christ and His Church. That He awaits all of us in heaven if only we listen to Him. He says it very clearly in the verse, ''No one comes to the Father except through me''. So, no Budda cannot get you to heaven. Vishnu cannot get you to heaven. Or following the ways of Muhammed cannot get you into heaven. Jesus is the ONLY way to heaven.
